Primary prevention of substance abuse exceed mere drug-specific information dissamination, because the addictive process relates to more than the correlation of use and effect of drugs. For this reason substance abuse prevention must be related to cause of use, to specific target groups, and not to substances. This kind of work is only possible in activities a long time before first substance use and knowledge of changed mood in intoxication occur, i.e. as early as possible to advance the development of human social behaviour. Therefore target groups of primary prevention of substance abuse in pre-school education are adults: Teachers in lower primary grades and parents. This account shows experiences of work with those persons who had understood that children must be enabled to managing the risks of life (because they cannot be preserved fom them) and who therefore wanted to increase their knowledge and competences for education.
